Hula Class
MONTHLY TUITION: $40
Na Maka O Pu’uwai Aloha’s Hula program is where we found our start.
In our Hula program students will learn their hula position, basic steps, different kahiko (ancient) and ‘auana (modern) dances and the background and meaning of those dances. They will learn to perform with various implements and transitions to different songs. Most importantly, they will learn how to be good examples for their other hula sisters and brothers and how to be confident in any aspect of life, not just while on stage. Placement is dependent upon age and/or skill level.

Ukulele & Guitar Class
MONTHLY TUITION:
Private Lessons: $100 • Group Lessons: $55
Have you always wanted to check “play an instrument” off your list?
The Na Maka O Pu’uwai Aloha Ukulele and Guitar program will give you a basic knowledge of your instrument starting with tuning, learning chords and strumming. Students will also learn how to pick, read music and play full songs.
We offer private lessons for both guitar and ukulele but group classes are available for only ukulele at this time. Placement is dependent upon skill level.

Hip Hop Class
MONTHLY TUITION: $40

Na Maka O Pu`uwai Aloha’s Hip Hop program has grown tremendously over the years. Students will learn the basic fundamentals of different types of iconic Hip Hop styles. They will also learn choreography to various songs and how to actively entertain an audience whether it be in class or on stage. Placement in each class type is dependent upon age and/or skill level.

Jazz Class
MONTHLY TUITION: $40
Oh yes, we’ve got all that Jazz!
Na Maka O Pu`uwai Aloha’s Jazz program has evolved over the years. Students will learn the basic fundamentals of Jazz. They will also learn choreography to various songs and how to elegantly display emotion while performing both in class and on stage. Placement in each class type is dependent upon age and/or skill level.

Ballet Class

Have you ever wanted to dance like the ballerina in your jewelry box?
Na Maka O Pu`uwai Aloha’s Ballet program could help you start your journey toward that dream. Students will learn the basic fundamentals of both Creative Movement and Ballet. They will also learn choreography to various songs and how to display confidence while performing both in class and for an audience. Placement in each class type is dependent upon age and/or skill level.

Polynesian Class
MONTHLY TUITION: $40

Greetings from the Islands of the South Pacific!
Our Polynesian classes will enrich our students by giving them the basic knowledge of Polynesian dance with emphasis on Tahitian and Maori.
Along with the fundamentals of dance, our students will learn poise, stage presence and professionalism. They will build self confidence and live an active lifestyle while having tons of fun. Placement is dependent upon age and/or skill level.

Voice Class
MONTHLY TUITION:
Private Lessons: $100 • Group Lessons: $55
Now, you don’t have to only sing in the shower!
In the Na Maka O Pu’uwai Aloha Voice program students learn how to stay on pitch, expand vocal range and perform comfortably in front of an audience. Through vocal warm ups and breathing techniques, students can improve in tonality, range, and agility. Along with vocal skills, students also learn how to enhance a performance or audition by using various choreography, directional visuals and facial expressions. Our voice program offers both private and group lessons. Placement is dependent upon skill level.
